Bloom is booming, doubling in size in less than a year
Did you see Bloom gracing the pages of the Drum, the Business Desk and the Yorkshire Post this week, ringing in the news of our expansion? As the press coverage mentioned, we’ve been joined by a plethora of new talent recently, thanks to a big recruitment drive.
A magnificent ten new team members have joined us in the past few months, taking Bloom Towers to the dizzying heights of forty seven lovely Bloomers – almost twice as many of us as there were last year. In fact, there are so many of us now that we’ve taken over the beautiful offices next door too!
Two new senior appointments have come in the form of Christian McAvoy, head of project management and Philip Bennison, head of development.
Before Bloom, Christian held a project management role at Sky Sports Digital and brings with him a wealth of multi-channel development experience. In his new role, Christian will be responsible for the continual improvement of project management across the agency – working to ensure that we’re working smarter for our clients and always deliver projects on time, on budget and on brief.
Philip has joined us from Clownfish. At Bloom, he will be responsible for developing a team of eleven wonderful bloomers and, in his own words, “championing coding excellence”!
New recruits joining the Good Ship Bloom also include: Alex Fisher, search and social executive, Jennifer Evans, senior account manager, Sarah Hackett, project executive, Sam Jenkins, developer, Fay Nyberg, copywriter, Amy Tootell, account manager, Harshad Patel, UI developer and Kelly Scholey, junior interface developer. Phew!
Speaking of the recent expansion, Alex Craven, our chief executive, said: “Bloom’s success is built on great people. We are growing by attracting real talent and this, in turn, is helping us win great clients. As we continue to expand our integrated offering, I believe we will be uniquely placed to deliver data-led, creative and engaging campaigns that truly deliver.”
Our recruitment drive hasn’t ceased – we’re looking for a few more talented individuals to join the team. If you think working at Bloom could be right up your street, be sure to check out our careers page here.
