Bloom's Cycling Challenge: from Capital to Coast
On Sunday 30th June six brave Bloomers will be joined by Peter Miles – a client and friend from ADT – to cycle an impressive 60 miles from London to Brighton during LA fitness’ Capital to Coast Challenge.
Raising money for two great charities – Norwood and the Down’s Syndrome Association – team Bloom’s journey will start at Kempton Park Racecourse, see them battle Devil’s Dyke valley and pedal through breathtaking country lanes before raring down to Brighton’s seafront.
The team (Kate Standen, Sam Jenkins, Ragil Pembayun, Jennifer Evans, Christian McAvoy and Sarah Hackett) has been inspired by the likes of Mark Cavendish, Sir Bradley Wiggins, Victoria Pendleton and Sir Chris Hoy. They firmly believe that they can achieve anything if they put their minds (and their legs) to it!
Whilst it’s probably fair to say that not every member of team Bloom is a cycling enthusiast, they all love a challenge and they’re wheely excited about what will be a truly spoke-tacular day! Hmm…maybe we should tread carefully before you get tyred of the rubbish bike puns. We promise we’ll never mutter another one again if you sponsor the team here – we’ve got a pretty hefty target of £1,400 to meet and any help is much appreciated!
