Welcome to Yorkshire Takes New Direction with Bloom
Welcome to Yorkshire has added a new dimension to its brand and marketing strategy with digital marketing agency, Bloom. The work sees the launch of the new customer promise ‘Discover, Book, Save’, membership proposition and media strategy.
This has been brought to life with the launch of an updated Welcome to Yorkshire website that is more focused on increasing visitor numbers and driving revenue for members. Extensive customer research was undertaken to map audience behaviour and help optimise the user experience.
Commenting on the project Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire said: “Yorkshire.com now provides a single destination for anyone wanting to visit the region. This marks a big step forward for Welcome to Yorkshire’s digital strategy and supports our focus to deliver value to our members and most importantly delivering value to visitors to this great county. Yorkshire.com is now the only place on the internet where tourists can discover, book and save on everything they need to have a fantastic time in Yorkshire.”
The site is developed around a Google maps based ecommerce platform that enables businesses and organisations to upload special offers to the general public. Additional functionality includes an itinerary planner, suggestion engine and an improved member area.
Alex Craven, managing director at Bloom said: “Everyone at Bloom worked hard to deliver this project. It combines great insight with real innovation, great creative and speaks volumes of how we work.”
www.yorkshire.com has only just gone live but already features £5m of offers.
