We’re absolutely delighted to report not one but two pieces of awards news this week! It’s been a really exciting time at Bloom over the past few months, and it’s wonderful to see that our hard work is being recognised.
First up, we found out earlier this week that we’ve been nominated for a SomeComms award. As you can imagine, we are absolutely thrilled. We’re in the running for the Innovation award, which recognises the best social media innovation in the development of a platform or app. We’re especially excited about this nomination because it’s the first time we’ve submitted an entry for our work on Clarity, the social media monitoring platform that we’ve developed with the Universities of Reading and Strathclyde. You can find out more about how we used Clarity to grow a gardening audience for Anglian Home Improvements – which was the basis for our nomination – here.
We also found out today that our lovely client, Welcome to Yorkshire, officially has the Best Travel Website for Groups as voted for by readers of a national magazine. The website has had a magnificent 15.3 million visitors since it launched a few years ago and the refresh that we worked on back in January has ensured that it’s stayed at the top of it’s game. The accolade was awarded by readers of the travel title Group Leisure, and adds to the TravelMole Web Awards that the site won in 2009 and 2010, along with the fantastic win at the World Travel awards earlier this year. We’re still waiting to see if we’ll pick up a Dadi award for the site in November – keep your fingers crossed please!
I think it might be time to make some extra room on our awards shelf!
