Breakfast brand bash: How to be legally social
With the number of active users on social media increasing by 64% in the last eight years and 93% of marketers currently using this medium to drive business, social media engagement is fast becoming one of the most important ways for brands to connect with their audience. Over the next five years companies are expected to double their social marketing budgets and for this reason brands must understand how to use this platform in the correct and most profitable way for their business.
Given that our last Breakfast Brand Bash seminar was such a huge success, we’re excited to team up with law firm, Walker Morris, once again. Our next event, on Tuesday 1st April, will discuss the management of brands on social media – don’t worry it’s not an April fool!
Beginning at 8am with registration and a light buffet breakfast, our speakers will be kicking things off at 8.30am.
We’ll start will two industry experts; Dominic Burch, Head of Social Media at Asda, and Sam Brown, Digital Marketing Manager at Goal. They’ll talk about the challenges they often face and the strategies behind their social media management.
There’ll then be a panel discussion where the audience will also hear from:
- Alex Craven, CEO of Bloom
- Gwendoline Davies, Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution at Walker Morris
- Lynsey Oakdene, Director at Walker Morris
- Matthew Chapman, Solicitor at Walker Morris
They’ll draw on recent case studies to explore the difficulties facing marketers when implementing a social media strategy. The focus of discussions will be on:
- How to engage with existing and potential customers on social media
- How to deal with customer issues and complaints on social media and when to act
- How to ensure compliance with new laws relating to online defamation
There’ll be plenty of opportunities for the audience to get involved too – and if you fancy asking our panel a question before the event, don’t hesitate to drop us a line at letst[email protected]ency.co.uk.
Free tickets for this event are bound to go quicker than you can say “social media management”, so book your ticket today here!
